Late July along the Bonneville Trail

This past week someone came in asking about nearby trails. I found an online map of local trails, including the Bonneville Shoreline trail. A coworker uses it regularly. Come to find out, one can access Adams Canyon from the Bonneville trail, and one can access the Bonneville trail from the Kaysville Wilderness Park. Meaning, we don't have to use the switchback route to get to Adam's Canyon. So here are a few photos from the "shoreline"!

Old Emigration Trail

Once a week we try to do something a little bit different. (OK, once a week I force my kids to try and do something a little different.) This week it was exploring a trail in a nearby city. It was hot and near noon, so we didn't spend a lot of time here. But it is in a rural setting, and very peaceful. Worth another visit. Adam's Canyon

Tom, TG and I agreed to hike Adam's canyon. What takes some people a little over two hours to complete took us about four! Ignoring the blisters we had fun!

Water Parade on the fourth

4th of July

Happy Birthday!

Our town's one claim to fame can be the waterfight after the Fourth of July parade. The parade isn't much, but the waterfight! I've never seen one like it. Kids and adults alike join in the fun. This year I saw pickup truck beds filled with water for the kids to fill their waterguns. There are even a few watertrucks that people bring, attach hoses to it - and watch out!
